Zipgenius From Context Menu Kills Windows Explorer

For a customer I installed ZipGenius 6.3.2.3110 on an XP SP3 32 bit machine.

Opening the ZipGenius application and adding files from inside it work fine, but when running from Windows Explorer context menu it kills Windows Explorer with an exception that says nothing much.

This is when i use "Add to "filename".zip"

When I use "Create with options" it opens the Options dialog, but doesn't create a zip file.

When I use "Add to any zip archive", it opens file selection. I then select an existing zip file, and "Open". Then the dialog box closes without adding the file to the zip.

I see there is a year-old post with a similar problem. What actions are taken?

This is not Windows 7. It is old Windows XP. Is there a hidden setting or something, or a resource conflict?

The machine runs Labview and some vb .net software; nothing strange.
